SOCIAL MEDIA ADDICTION AND QUARANTINE LIFE IN TOTAL LOCKDOWN ERA

Hi! What a lengthy title did I chose.

Now I'm listening to Some by BOL4 (a korean pop singer). This evening, I made a drastic action again but actually I've been thinking about it for a month and only now I've courage to give it try. I deactivated my twitter and instagram... because I've been spending 12 hours of my time on those two platform 🥺🥲

I know myself, how I sinisterly like attention I get from my posts. Sadly, most of the post were not something beneficial. It usually my daily rants or sarcastic remarks that I received from the lecturers that I posted out get attention.

I also somehow "hook" on reels features on instagram. Reels is like tiktok, you know, short video of people posting their creative content within 30s limit time. I constantly feed my brain with unnecessary dopamine and now I crave for it so much! This addiction got worsen as I was kept locked in my room ALONE for straight 14 days. Arghh thinking about it made me feel depressed.. Now I'm in my day 13 out of 14 days quarantine. My "gelang" or "quarantine tagging" will be cut on the day 15th (Wednesday). Two more days before freedom sigh :(

I read somewhere, in order to overcome it, I need to first recognise and acknowledge my problems first. My addiction now are:

    1. Manga - I usually read it in mangago

    2. Shopping!! - shopee my favourite webiste

    3. Instagram, whatsapp and twitter (the most)

    4. Movies - sigh.. I got my sister's netflix account and stable internet connection..

What should I do to overcome this social media addiction? lemme google for awhile.

Dude, there are alot of tips in the internet. I'm gonna stick with TWO - prioritise things that should be (read: my education!!) and engage in other activities such as writing daily journal, food diary and morning walks. Bismillah
